CHANCELLOR SECRETARY OF BISHOP JAMES P. MELLOSKY OF JARO (1920-1927) VICAR GENERAL OF THE DIOCESE OF JARO, 1927-1932. BISHOP OF CEBU, 1932-1934. FIRST ARCHBISHOP OF CEBU, 1934-1949. TRANSFERRED TO METROPOLITAN SEE OF MANILA AS ARCHBISHOP COADJUTOR 1949. CONSECRATED ARCHBISHOP OF MANILA, 19 MARCH 1950.
