PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHER FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS; REPRESENTATIVE OF THE THIRD DISTRICT OF BOHOL (1925-1931); DELEGATE OF BOHOL TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION (1934-1935); PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR OF BOHOL (1934-1941); SENATOR (1941-1953) VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES AND CONCURRENTLY SECRETARY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS (1953-1957); PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES (1957-1960).
