THIS COLLEGE WAS FOUNDED BY THE REV. VICENTE ISTEGUI, O.P., IN 1890, FOR THE EDUCATION OF GIRLS. OWING TO THE UNSETTLED CONDITIONS OF THE TIMES, IT WAS CLOSED IN 1898 BUT REOPENED IN 1904.
