THE PAMINTUAN MANSION

CONSTRUCTED AROUND 1890 BY SPOUSES, MARIANO PAMINTUAN AND VALENTINA TORRES FOR THEIR SON FLORENTINO. MAYOR OF ANGELES, 1900. HEADQUARTERS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY ARMY UNDER GENERAL VENANCIO CONCEPCION, 1898 AND GENERAL ANTONIO LUNA, APRIL 1899. HERE, GENERAL ANTONIO LUNA DREW UP PLANS FOR THE DEFENSE OF PAMPANGA AGAINST THE AMERICANS. OCCUPIED BY GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO AND STAFF ON MAY 27, 1899. HERE, CELEBRATED THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE, JUNE 12, 1899. ALSO OCCUPIED BY GENERAL ARTHUR MACARTHUR AND MEMBERS OF HIS STAFF 1901. SERVED AS HOME OF A GROUP OF KAMIKAZE PILOTS IN 1944. BOUGHT BY THE BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS, 1981; RESTORED, 1982; AND INAUGURATED, 1988.
