DIOSDADO P. MACAPAGAL WAS THE NINTH PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT. KNOWN AS THE ‘POOR BOY FROM LUBAO’, HIS PRESIDENCY IS REMEMBERED FOR ITS AGRICULTURAL LAND REFORM CODE, ABOLISHING TENANCY AND LAUNCHING A LAND-TO THE-TILLER PROGRAM, KNOWN AS THE ACT OF EMANCIPATION. HE IS THE EMANCIPATOR OF THE FILIPINO FARMER.
